The Gulf of Papagayo in Guanacaste is one of the places in Costa Rica with the most marine diversity, its rich waters in the Pacific Ocean provide food for many species of fish and mammals all year round.

Over the years, my experience as fisherman in these waters have taught me the different forms of survival that are carried out throughout the gulf such as; fishing seasons for some species and others that do not occur in a certain month in the year, in Guanacaste region there are two very pronounced seasons during the year: Winter and Summer time.
