On the other hand, the winter season, this one runs from early May to late December and these weather conditions are nice and quiet, good for navigation and makes more productive the fishing in the Gulf Papagayo.

These rainy season in the Pacific ocean in Costa Rica, allow excellent weather conditions during these months, the winds have little presence in the Gulf of Papagayo, conditions are even better allowing;

• Deep sea fishing: It is for almost all species such as: Yellowfin tuna, sailfish, marlin, wahoo and mahimahi. 

• Inshore fishing. You can catch roosterfish, even sailfish, marlin and magi-magi as they prowl through the shallow waters due to the excellent clarity and temperature of the water, they come in search of food in the vicinity of the coasts and allowing fishermen to catch some of them near from the coast and many other species of small fish for eating as red snappers and mahimahi.
